My post is on Seismic Horizon Interpretation, again all from my perspective. Horizon interpretation is individual. Geophysicists with different backgrounds and experiences will approach seismic interpretation differently. For example, someone with a strong background in sedimentology might focus on depositional environments, while a structural geophysicist might emphasize faulting and folding. The overall major markers will be similar however the internal horizons and the their interpretation of the results of their picks can mean they are seeing different geological features in a unique way to them. One may see a prograding delta while another sees a retrograding one, and both interpretations could be valid based on the available data and the interpreter's experience and knowledge. Collaboration, open communication, and the acknowledgment of uncertainties are essential aspects of ensuring a comprehensive and reliable interpretation.
